What is RSS?

RSS is a technology that lets you keep better track of your favorite websites.

Rather than bookmarking a website you want to follow and then having to manually visit the website and scan for new articles, RSS technology will notify you when your favorite websites update. This ends up being a huge time saver, since most of us have many websites we like to visit.

To take advantage of RSS and get notified when your favorite websites update, you have to “subscribe” to the website using a RSS Reader. About 50% of this blog’s subscribers use Google’s Reader, but you can use other RSS Readers as there are many to choose from.

If you want to subscribe using an RSS reader, click the “subscribe via rss” graphic on the upper right hand side of this page.

If you don’t want to use an RSS reader but still want to be notified of updates to this blog, The Startup Lawyer also offers a subscription-by-email option. Just click the “subscribe via email” graphic on the upper right side of this page. You will get updates sent to your email inbox when new articles are posted.
